Traditional Chinese Medicine culture travels thousands of miles, and China-Brazil cooperation opens a new chapter. Recently, a Brazilian TCM delegation composed of government officials and business representatives, including Marcos Silva, Secretary of the City Hall of Canaã dos Carajás, and Daniel Cruz, Director of the Brazil Office of the China Cultural Industry Promotion Association, visited the group for an on-site inspection and exchange. Zhongjing Wanxi and the Brazilian delegation conducted in-depth discussions on the industrialization, modernization and international cooperation of TCM, jointly mapping out a new blueprint for collaboration in the field of TCM between China and Brazil.

The members of this Brazilian delegation cover multiple fields including government, trade, the health industry, and cultural tourism. During their visit to the group’s cultural exhibition hall, smart production lines, and traceability system demonstrations, the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of the modernized and integrated TCM industry chain — from cultivation and R&D to production. In the group’s cultural exhibition hall, delegation members paused before the historical exhibits on TCM, listening to the origins of TCM culture and the company’s development journey. When learning about the Zhongjing’s achievements in the cultivation of authentic medicinal materials and standardized production, many Brazilian representatives showed strong interest, took photos for records, and expressed hopes for further collaboration with relevant resources.

“I never imagined that the cultivation and production of Chinese medicinal herbs had already achieved such a high level of technological advancement and standardization!” exclaimed Daniel Cruz, Administrative CEO of a Brazilian import company, after visiting the intelligent extraction workshop. He mentioned that the Brazilian market’s demand for health products is growing, and there is broad potential for cooperation in Chinese herbal medicine and traditional medical products.

Visiting enterprises and learning about medicine promotes exchange; China and Brazil join hands to embark on a new journey. This visit by the Brazilian delegation not only allowed international guests to experience firsthand the “Chinese practice” of TCM’s modern development but also built an important platform for promoting TCM’s entry into the Brazilian and Portuguese-speaking markets. Both parties reached an intent to use this exchange as an opportunity to further deepen the international promotion of TCM culture, products, and technology, actively expand practical cooperation with Brazil in traditional medicine, health products, and other fields, so that TCM can better serve the health of the people of both countries and contribute to building a global community of health for humanity.
